I underwent liver transplant surgery on 8th August 2013 at Fortis hospital (Noida) by Dr Vivek Vij & his team. Before my surgery, I visited Dr Vivek Vij at Islamabad on his official tour to Pakistan. He helped me with my visa issues also. Upon my arrival at Indira Gandhi International Airport, they arranged my conveyance & hospitalization. My visa expired after my surgery, but special thanks to Dr Vivek Vij, who arranged my Visa in critical political situations between Indo-Pak. I’m very thankful to the surgeon and his entire team. My prayers with him.
I was diagnosed with Chronic Liver Cirrhosis 7 years ago and was suffering from various complications until Dec 2015, when I approached Fortis Noida for liver transplant surgery. Just a day before surgery, I entered the last stage of Liver Disease i.e. Comma. My Children were not sure whether the surgery would be a success or not, however Dr. Vij assured that we should not waste time and go for immediate surgery. The surgery was a success and I was conscious 2nd day after my surgery. I stayed in Noida for 2 months and ALHAMDULILLAH, I live a very healthy life now and perform routine work like normal people. Dr. Vivek Vij performed a liver transplant on me approximately three years ago. The entire procedure was physically, emotionally, and psychologically exhausting. The family’s & the doctor’s support are essential when you are going for surgery. If it weren’t for a really generous doctor – Vivek sir and, of course, the donor, I wouldn’t be here living my life.
